The Last Oga by Da'vid King

The Last Oga
               by Da'vid Kin

Every oga get oga but God na the last oga
at the mention of his name, every every dey at attention
all my enemies una go see but una no go chop
i better pass my neighbour no dey baba God dictionary
na to show them love him talk, tuale Final Godfather

area boy na goat, home boy na sheep, Who be your shepherd?
make i no swear for you oo, the wicked man still dey laugh
him think say him go dey there forever, na vanity you dey see so
yanki no be heaven and heaven no get visa and ticket on sale
if we go, we don go be that. No be till-you-come-back journey

make your waka no over pass waka waka
if you do me, you do yourself na you go suffer
i no go beg for bread i dey work but owo go kill lazy man
idowu who get this money? you don steal again abi? take k'em back
na for black man country we still dey pray for light

Oga get oga, who be your oga?
God na halele God na wayo, no body be like k'em
na dumb go spread word for market square talk say "believe in yourself"
if the sun no go down, magra man go die of sweat
even if fish no fry, fish na fish but talk no be talk

Him talk rain fall, the jebu man talk fire fall. talk no be talk
there is nothing anybody can do, means talk to the last Oga at the top
before and after egusi soap comes washing of hands
make mouth dey yearn thank you like that for every goodness matter
no over tear eye give world, if not your eye go see pain

i am like a lonely boy in sambisa village, fear or success are my options
garden egg no dey hatch but plant them see
my name na "i am a winner" and my father na the last oga
everything you touch this we-days, you go hear how much you go pay take em?
make the last oga no call us useless servants na why we dey use we-talents

make your head dey reason each line you read
